The City of Newark has partnered with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s City and Regional Planning Department to enhance the City’s General Plan.  A team of 15 graduate students and one Professor will be surveying, researching, and working with the residents of Newark over the next 6 months to reflect the community’s vision for enhancing the General Plan.

Community Meeting #2:
On February 4, 2012 the City of Newark and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo held the second community meeting.  We were able to identify preferences of the community in regards to topics not limited to housing density, types of conservation, and recreation.  THANK YOU for participating.  Photo highlights will be added to the COMMUNITY MEETING tab, please check them out!

BIENVENIDA!

La ciudad de Newark ha entrado en una nueva etapa con el Departamento de Planificacion Urbana y Regional de Cal Poly en San Luis Obispo para mejorar el Plan General de la ciudad. Hay quince alumnos de maestría y un doctorado que estarán encuestando, investigando, y colaborando con los residentes de Newark en los siguientes 6 meses para poner en marcha el futuro comunitario según el Plan General.
